Ok, kind of made it through the day.
When much of the day is off plan (outside our normal systems), I think that sometimes it might be enough just not to go nutso.
I was at In-N-Out & the guy got my order wrong. I ended up eating it. It was a protein style 3×3. I ordered a hamburger with onions & mustard only. This had cheese. 3 slices. Since the ordering situation was such a fubar, I just took it and ate it.
I was disappointed in myself but in hindsight, probably not that bad. Not too crazy a deviation.
I also ate a Quest bar somewhere along (strawberry cheesecake). Again, not really on-plan but I couldn’t find info expressly forbidding them. Quest bars have very little carbs.
And then we all (14 or so of us) went out to eat to celebrate Sienna, Cam & Aliah’s first reconciliation. We went to a sushi place. Again, I ate a couple things I probably shouldn’t have but I didn’t go nuts.
Stayed with a tataki (salmon) and sashimi (bluefin toro that was amazing btw) and got a cucumber wrap (basically fake crab, tuna & some other stuff wrapped in cucumber). Not too terrible. I did have 2 pieces of agedashi tofu which aren’t on plan. And I had 1 piece of Jenny’s Lite Phoenix roll. It was all seafood but wrapped in rice paper. I also had some edamame which are questionable.
Anyway, the good thing is that I didn’t go off the rails.
Was I perfect? No.
But I think maybe that’s ok as it’s much harder to stay on-plan when you’re out at a restaurant for a celebration where everybody is sharing everything.
